Rebirth

[ Tired...heavy... The thoughts circle within a small frame. Limbs begin to trace the edges of a hand. The small tentacles curl around a creature’s fingers as though a child clutches onto its mother. ]  

Be free and live...

[ A soft but sinister voice echoes through the dark sea. The small squid begins to swim on its own will. Of course it's movements are awkward at first, for the first instance of life is not easy to digest. Slowly but steadily the small creature is able to maneuver through the water. Within time's passing, the squid is overwhelmed by a current. The waves take the squid closer to shore. Yet, the force is so great that the creature's limbs begin to rip a part. As appendages leave, new ones appear. Soon the creature grows a new head. It breaks the surface of the water- gasping for air as thick ink spurts from its mouth. ]

Why?

[ The beings voice is as strained as its mind. Eventually, black sand appears on the horizon. In the distance a figure can be made- skittering anxiously from side to side. Once the being reaches shore, it coughs up water and ink from its lungs. In front of the being stands a great centipede with a bag hanging from its mandible. ]

Wu Gong...

[ The being speaks with a new realization. My omen. The centipede drops the bag onto the sand and nudges its master. ]

I've been...rebirthed. 

[While glancing at its body, the being recognizes who he is. The demon also notices that his skin looks...ashy. He was not as Grey in his previous physical state. Yet, perhaps that's because of how he died. ]
